A&W is an American fast-food chain that also operates in Canada.
Their mobile app has a 4.6-star rating but also garners many 1-star ratings regarding its usability.
Digital Product Introduction
Evaluate A&W’s mobile app to identify potential usability problems, and to make recommendations to fix these problems.
To do so, we reviewed the primary task of placing an order through the app.
Objective:
A task flow represents a user's journey through a specific task to achieve a purpose.
The primary task flow we focused on was placing an order.
We carried out secondary tasks within the primary task flow, which included favouriting an order + adding a coupon for further evaluation of the app’s usability.
we chose to test placing an order that consisted of a Mozza burger combo and 5 chicken strips.
Task Flows

A heuristics evaluation is a fast method of finding usability problems in user interface design using established principles or “rules of thumb” for interaction design
Heuristics Evaluation
For our evaluation of A&W’s mobile App, we will be referencing the world Leaders in research-based user experience: Neilsen Norman Group’s Usability Heuristics
